A lot of people think I put fake eyelashes on. I couldn’t even tell you how many times people have asked me if they could pull on my eyelashes to see if they’re real! Well girls, they are most definitely real! When it comes to my everyday makeup, my eyelashes are my main priority. I love making my eyes pop! Several of you have messaged me on Instagram asking how I do my lashes so I figured why not write up a blog post!

One key thing in being successful to getting major lash volume is making sure your lashes are clean and dry. Make sure there isn’t any old makeup still on there and if you did just wash your face, make sure your lashes are dry.

Before applying the mascara I put on two layers (top and bottom) of primer mascara called, Voluminous Lash Primer. Don’t have too much liquid on the brush, so it doesn’t cause clumping. You want to have your lashes nicely spread out.

Next, I apply the Better Than Sex Mascara by Two Faced. It’s an intensely black, volumizing mascara with an hourglass-shaped brush that separates, coats, and curls each lash to voluptuous perfection. This mascara is my absolute favorite (FYI I have all my products linked below). I apply between 2-3 coats, top and bottom. Remember, make sure there isn’t any clumping.

Final step, I apply Maybelline’s The Colossal Washable Mascara that makes your eyelashes have some major length. I usually do about one coat, top and bottom.

If I’m not in a rush I wait until my mascara dries and then use the eyelash curler to make them pop even more! So there you have it, my three step mascara tutorial. I’ve been doing my eyelash like this for years and love how I’m able to give my lashes major volume without having to use fake lashes or without having to use lash growth products. Also, doing two different types of mascara really does make a difference. Each product is intended to do different things, either create volume or length. I stray about from the 2-1 or 3-1 mascara because it doesn’t quiet do the trick! So I suggest buying one of each and trust me, you’ll know why when you try it! Also, primer is super important and helps make the mascara last longer, so definitely don’t do anything before applying primer!

Message me if you’ve tried this tutorial, I’d love to hear how your lashes are looking! FYI, that top I’m wearing is from Mainstream Boutique, isn’t it adorable!?

XO,

Andrea
