Last Saturday was hands down one of the most magical, exciting, overwhelming and motivating days of our blogging career. We could probably assign at least 12 more adjectives to describe the day, but we’ll leave it at that. In honor of our blog rebranding and site launch, we hosted a launch party in downtown Minneapolis. We planned for months, collecting decorations and party favors, coordinating with the venue and other vendors, sending out invites, etc., all while building our new brand and website. Our amazing venue, Salon Rouge, and the other lovely ladies that were part of the event feverishly helped to plan and prepare as well. We had no idea what the turnout of the event would be. Well, spoiler alert…it was incredible! Not only did everything come together beautifully, but we had a bigger and better turnout than we could have imagined. We had no idea how much support we had until that day.
Friends, family, coworkers, and old classmates traveled from all over to attend, our vendors invited their colleagues and other creatives we had only ever connected with online came! We even had flowers and gifts sent to us by some people that could not attend. Honestly, we were floored! Before we share all the fun details and pictures, we just want to say a HUGE thank you to every one who has shown their love and support. It makes us burst with happiness! We are so motivated to keep going and keep connecting with others because of you, so thank you thank you thank you for keeping us going!
Okay, time for the fun stuff!
We were extremely fortunate to be able to use Salon Rouge for the event. Richard, the salon owner, spent years collecting furniture and knick knacks that piece together this beautiful, renaissance-style salon. We could’ve gotten away without any decorations! Richard, Sadie, and Jeffrey (the three rockstars of Salon Rouge) were such a big help with the planning, setup, and cleanup. We’re quite pleased with all the pretty little details! We could not have done it without them!
The food and beverage table was fully functional thanks to Andrea’s family! They helped prep everything and make sure to restock when things ran low. Thank goodness for them! Salon Rouge provided the cupcakes and macaroons because they know a way to a girl’s heart.
One of the most fun parts about setting this whole event up was coordinating with a few other local creatives to show off their talents and passions along with us. We couldn’t write this post without giving them a huge shoutout and bragging about how lucky we are to have had them there.
Right when guests walked in the front door and down the stairs, they were greeted by Sara from Sara Hynes Designs. She’s a graphic designer and hand-letterer who creates the most fun mugs and tumblers we’ve ever seen (pssst…we featured one of them in our Holiday Gift Guide post). This bubbly soul was the perfect person to have greeting every one and of course making name tags with her beautiful handwriting. She had such a fun, bright setup displaying her mugs and gets credit for amping up the energy of the party for sure!
We had Brandi from Sealed with a B, who came with a rack full of to-die-for clothing from her online boutique, the worlds prettiest cookies, giveaway items, and tons of pink and gold decor. If she’s not a girl after our own hearts, we don’t know who is! We have her to thank for the hilariously fun photo booth props that everyone loved as well! She runs a blog and online store and will very soon be launching a new online boutique, so keep your eyes peeled!
Then we had Karla representing Vibrant Decor and Style, which you might recognize from a previous post. As soon as we even had the idea to host a launch party, we knew these ladies had to be involved. We walk in their store and swoon over just about everything we see. They host giveaways with the local community and stay up-to-date with trends by traveling all over the U.S. Their table setup definitely lived up to their name with vibrant jewelry, clothing, and one of the yummiest candles we’ve ever smelled (yes, we considered stealing it).
Britany, creator of Define Fettle, was the talk of the party! She’s the sweetest girl with a major passion for nutrition, fitness, and all around healthy living. We had so many people asking about what she does and how in the world she knows every thing that she does! She was explaining things like the Paleo diet, Whole30 and safe skincare products so well to our guests! She’s for sure #goals when it comes to better living. And, the “Burpees then brunch” tank she put in the giveaway basket was too cute to handle!
Last but certainly not least, we had the immense privilege of having Megan from Ten Thousand Takes Photography capturing the whole event. We’ve gotten to see her photography skills totally blossom this year, so we knew we had to snag her for our event. As you can see, she did a spectacular job! She captured moments we would have never thought to. She has a eye for capturing people at their best, candid or not! Besides her amazing photography, she’s an amazing person that we had a blast with throughout the whole event. She’s a busy momma with three boys and we’re pretty sure she had more energy than we did that day! That’s ok, because we certainly ate more M&Ms off her table than anyone else.
We have Megan to thank for all the fun photo booth pictures and making our DIY photo booth setup an all around success! All photo booth photos can be found at facebook.com/nereblog.
NE+RE is the big start to a new beginning for us and we couldn’t have kicked it off any other way. We had so much fun planning the event and partying with all these amazing people! We even got an exclusive afterparty at Radisson Red Hotel that evening, thanks to Joe and the staff at OUI BAR+KTCHN located inside. Talk about feeling official!
Thank you again for all the love and support lovelies!
